In Norway, there is no national minimum wage. Instead, wages are determined through collective bargaining agreements between trade unions and employers. However, Norway has legal minimum wages for nine specific sectors through the general application of collective agreements ("allmenngjøring").


As of June 2025, minimum wages apply in sectors including construction (NOK 239.61-264.32 per hour), agriculture and horticulture (NOK 142.90-168.40 per hour), and freight transport (NOK 229.00 per hour). All employees covered by LO-NHO agreements received a general salary increase of NOK 5.00 per hour from April 1, 2025.


Foreign workers in Norway are entitled to the same wages as Norwegian workers for the same job. Work between 21:00 and 06:00 requires a minimum wage supplement of NOK 29 per hour.
